Sherry and Alan Koppel's Surrealist Garden
Saturday, June 17, 11am - 4pm
2217 W. Wagner Road, Buchanan
Featured in Architectural Digest in December 2016, the owners fell in love with the property (which at the time was a vineyard and a wheat field) when they walked to the vineyard on the top of a hill and gazed over the field to another vineyard across the way.
They instantly felt like that they were in Italy!
At that time, there wasn't one tree on the property - now there are approximately 650 trees...maybe more - it's impossible to count. Everything they have done is about the imagination, including sculptures designed that relate to Magritte paintings. Visitors have said that walking through the garden is like walking through a painting. But mostly they have designed the garden for their future grandchildren. They now have one granddaughter who can enjoy a maze, a tunnel and a lot of space.
